Completed arrangements are being announced for Glenn Etheridge Hooper, 76, of the Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City,TN, who died Aug. 16, 2006, at his home.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Arnold, Vic Smith, Tony Hooper, Randy Smith, Shelby Barker, Jimmy Hayes, Tim Blair, Brandon Davis and Bill Barr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristopfer Hooper and James Hooper.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening. He was born May 11, 1930, in Obion County, TN, son of the late Joe and Lula Etheridge Hooper. He married the former Ann Webb Nov. 27, 1959. She survives.

He was a retired dock hand for the 710 Teamsters Union in Chicago and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean War.

Survivors also include his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tim Blair of South Fulton; his son, Jeff Hooper of Troy; three grandchildren, Krista Davis and Kristopfer Hooper, both of South Fulton, and James Hooper of Troy; his sister, Hazel Gwaltney of Union City; and his brother, Bobby Hooper of Troy. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Dominic Linder; and eight brothers and sisters.
